There may not be any snow on ground anymore but winter is definitely here. We had our first snow early this season. It came long before the trees had changed colours or had lost their leaves. Needless to say I was not prepared for a snow storm in early November but it did inspire this easy snowflakes craft.
Here’s what you need to get started:

- White Washable Tempera Paint
- White Glitter Glue
- Plastic Fork
- Blue Construction Paper
- Q-Tip
- Plastic Paint Palette
- White Washable Tempera Paint
Directions
Pour the white paint on your paint pallet (or use a paper plate or a scrap piece of paper to hold the paint).
Dip the fork into the paint. Stamp the fork in the center of the paper with the ends of the fork facing out.

My 3 year old wanted “lots of paint” so I didn’t fight it!.
Then stamp the fork three more time making a cross.
Then stamp the fork four more times in between in each of your cross stamps.
Dip your fork back into the paint as needed.

My 3 year old wanted to make her snowflakes how she wanted to. What else could I do but let her and so should you!
Repeat in all corners of the construction paper so that you end up with 4-5 fork snowflakes.

“Look mommy, I’m making a snow storm!”
Next dab the q-tip into the white paint. And dab it randomly all around your fork snowflakes to create smaller flakes.

3 year old version!
We also added some glitter glue, because we thought it needed a little shimmer! Glitter glue was a hit and she ended up using the entire tube!

We dabbed the glitter glue on to the q-tip for easier application.
When you are done you will have a beautiful snow storm painting made of fork snowflakes and smaller flakes!

Mommy version. I think I like hers better!

I have to say, darling, THIS IS REALLY cool. It is creative, and cute – and can make a big ol’ mess – right up my daughter’s alley :-D. I’m running out to get the supplies today. Its a great idea to work not his week for sure.
