Easter Egg Painting Time

When doing a painting activity like this I like to put the paints into separate colourful bowls and then add a brush for each colour.

This allows my little one to paint without having to worry about cleaning the brushes after each colour.

Then I had my 3.5 year old decorate the giant Easter egg using the paint!

Fine & Gross Motor Fun Easter egg Painting

This activity was great for working both fine and gross motor muscles. Such as trying to paint along the giant lines using a paint brush.

Containing Mess
Before we started this activity I reminded my three year old (in a way that would appeal to her so as to not start the activity on a negative note) that the paint stays on the paper.

I also made sure she was wearing clothes that I didn’t mind getting dirty. I forgot to put her in a paint smock but that is also a good idea for this activity. Also, I had wipes and paper towel on hand.
