A Fine Motor Valentines Counting Activity
This activity makes a great busy bag activity and is perfect for toddlers and preschoolers learning and practicing how to recognize numbers and how to count.
Here’s how to get started!

Make the Heart Wands
To make the heart wands, grab your heart stickers and tooth picks. Place one sticker at the top of the tooth pick and then place another sticker behind it so that the sticky sides of the heart stickers are facing each other. This will create the top part of the heart wand.

Take your pipe cleaners and wrap it around the remaining part of the tooth pick all the way to the end. Wrap it tightly so that it wont unravel while your little one is using it.

Make 10 of these or however many you would like your little one to count to.

Write the numbers 1 to 10 on both sides of the heart stickers.

Counting Beads
Have your little one count out the number of beads to match the number on the heart wand.

Then have them thread the beads along the pipe cleaner, counting as the thread each one.

Great Fine Motor Activity
This was a great fine motor and numeracy activity, perfect for children aged 2 and up.
