How to Set Up Magnetic Hearts Activity for Valentine’s Day

Grab some pink, red and purple pipe cleaners. Fold them in half and cut them. Fold it in half and connect the ends to create the shape of a heart. Repeat to create at least 10 hearts.

Grab a tall bottle with a wide opening. I used a tall water bottle. Place all your hearts inside. Invite your little one to use your magnetic wands to pick up as many hearts as they can.

Pull them out and count them! Repeat and see how many you can pick up as once.

Other Ways to Play Magnetic Hearts Activity

  • Can you pick up only the pink hearts?
  • Can you pick up just one heart?

Play is at the core of learning during the early years and it can take many forms. One of the most important of these is sensory play because it engages all of a child’s senses (taste, touch, smell, sight and hearing) and has a enoumous positive impact on brain development.

My Sensory Play Kits are a fun and easy way to keep your child engaged while at the same time capitalizing on the benefits of sensory play to nurture their mind!
