Math Sensory Bin

Sensory bins make any learning activity fun. Whether it’s math or letters combine it with a simple sensory activity and you have a sure fire hit.

This activity is just that. In this activity your toddler, preschooler or kindergartener will use their digging hands as my daughter calls it to find dominoes!

Here’s how it works

Start out with a large sensory bin, rainbow rice and squeeze pouch caps. Click here for instructions on how to make rainbow rice.

Add the rainbow rice and the caps to the sensory bin and mix them up.

Then on a piece of paper write out numbers 1 to 8 in separate boxes. For older kids you could also go up to ten.

Separate out the dominoes that add up to 8 and then hide them in the bin for your little one to find.

Once she found a domino I had her add up the dots and then place it on the correct number.
