Incredible fun and learning often come from the most simple of materials, which is exactly what happened with this preschool Easter activity.
My three year old was begging me for a sensory bin activity and as I looked for something easy to clean up, fun and novel I remembered that we had not played with shaving cream in a long time.
Although it may seem counter-intuitive but shaving cream is actually a great sensory bin filler that is not as messy as you may think. Much like bubbles, shaving cream is fun to play with but fairly easy to clean up.

Set Up
Grab all the plastic Easter eggs you have in the house and toss them into a sensory bin.
Then grab your husband’s shaving cream or get a cheap stash of your own for just these sorts of activities and start to spray it into the sensory bin.
Then let your little one loose!
STEM Activity
This activity was a total hit with my sensory loving preschooler! She loved covering all the eggs with the shaving cream.
She also filled up open eggs with shaving.
Building with eggs without shaving cream would be impossible but once you add shaving cream you are able to stack the eggs one on top of each other to create whatever you like. They are still challenging to build with still lots of fun!
She tried to create bridges and towers out the eggs and shaving cream while at the same time enjoying the incredible sensory play that shaving cream provides!
