Witches Brew Fluffy Slime is the perfect spooky sensory craft to make this Halloween with your kids! This bright purple slime is soft, stretchy, and extra puffy—just like a potion straight from a witch’s cauldron. It’s great for weekend crafting, or a festive sensory activity at home.

Why Kids Love Witch’s Brew Fluffy Slime

There’s something extra exciting about making slime during Halloween season. The bright green color, swirls of glitter, and fun add-ins make it feel like a real witch’s potion. Best of all, fluffy slime has a soft, airy texture that makes it even more fun to stretch, squish, and play with.

This craft is easy to customize too. You can add googly eyes, black star confetti, glitter, or tiny Halloween beads to create your own magical brew.

Supplies You’ll Need

  • White school glue
  • Shaving cream
  • purple liquid watercolors or food coloring
  • Baking soda
  • Contact lens solution with boric
  • Mixing bowl
  • Spoon or craft stick
  • Black glitter or star confetti or mini spiders
  • Googly eyes (optional)
  • Small plastic cauldron or bowl for display

How to Make Witch’s Brew Fluffy Slime

  1. Pour about 1/2 cup of white school glue into a mixing bowl.
  2. Add 2 to 3 cups of shaving cream. The more shaving cream you use, the fluffier your slime will be. Stir until combined.
  1. Add a few drops of purple liquid water coloring or food coloring or a small squirt of green paint. Mix well until the slime turns color.
  2. Stir in 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda and mix throughly.
  1. Then add 1 tablespoon contact lens solution, mixing as you go. Mix for a few minutes, if it is still very sticky add a little bit more contact solution. Keep stirring until the slime begins to pull away from the sides of the bowl.
  2. Use your hands to knead the slime until it becomes stretchy and less sticky. If needed, add a few more drops of contact solution.
  1. Sprinkle in black glitter, Halloween confetti, or googly eyes for a fun “witches brew” effect (optional).

Tips for the Best Fluffy Slime

The reason why slime fails most of the time is because it is not mixed for long enough. If your slime is too sticky, continue to knead it with your hands a little while longer, don’t give up on it. Add a very very small amount of activator and continue to knead.

  • Use plenty of shaving cream for a light, airy texture.
  • Add activator slowly and a little bit at a time  so the slime doesn’t get too stiff.
  • Store it in an airtight container to keep it fresh.
  • If the slime gets sticky, add a tiny bit more contact solution.
  • Adult supervision is helpful, especially for younger children.

Set in the ultimate crafting space, Curious Crafting is a short form pre-school age series about the joy of making crafts. I lead a rotating cast of adorable little preschoolers (including my own) making magic out of common household objects.

In each episode we transform recycled items into magical crafts like a milk carton school bus, paper bag puppet or cotton pad turtle. The crafters learn and laugh their way through each activity while demonstrating what their young imaginations can create.

Curious Crafting shares the adventure and joy of making art with takeaway lessons for creating crafts at home.
