Sea Foam Sensory Bin

Grab your sensory bin and fill it with shaving cream. I initially tried this activity with shaving gel which come out of the can blue. The colour was amazing but the kids could get over the texture. It is part gel and art shaving cream. If they weren’t so excited to play with shaving cream they they may have enjoyed the shaving gel more. I will definitely give it another try sometime in the near future. I purchased a few cans of it by accident on Amazon and want to get rid of them!

Next, I added a few drops of blue food colouring.

Use a spoon or craft stick to mix the blue food colouring into the shaving cream to give it lovely blue colour for your ocean.

Next, add I added all many under the sea animals and creatures. Including real and artificial seashells and starfish.

I simply placed the animals on top of the shaving cream. I let the kids play with it like this for a little while before adding the water.

Once they finished playing with the shaving cream, it was time to turn into into sea foam!

I added some water and let the kids mix it up. Eventually all the animals got covered up so we played a game of hide and seek with unique shells and animals!

You can also do this activity with bubble foam.
