Here is another easy Christmas craft you can do right now with just a few basic craft supplies and items from your kitchen and bathroom cupboards.
Here’s what you’ll need to get started
Supplies
(This post contains affiliate links.)
- Spatula
- Plastic knife
(2)
- 2 wine corks
- Googly Eyes
- Red, white and brown washable tempera paint
- Light blue construction paper
- 3 Plastic plates
- Paint pallet (Optional)
- Q-Tips
- Wet wipes
Directions
Gather your supplies.

All your supplies are pictured here except the plastic plates!
Pour some brown and white onto a paper or plastic plate. Mix them together. Then dip your spatula into the paint. Make sure you cover the entire surface with lots of paint.
On the construction paper, stamp the spatula down. Press it down slightly and hold the sheet of paper as you pull it up.
While the paint is still wet add google eyes so that they will stick without the need for glue.
Pour the white and red paint onto separate plates. Dip the cork into the white paint and create Santa’s beard.
Stamp all around Santa’s face to also create his white hair.
Take a second cork and create Santa’s hat using the red paint.
Give Santa a red nose using the same cork.
Using the white paint and cork give Santa’s hat a white pom pom.
Then using the q-tip dipped in white paint create snow all around Santa!

My 3 year old wanted to make red snow instead of white!
Painting Tips
Sometimes instead of using plastic plates I just pour the paint onto some craft paper beside my daughter. This often easier that using a plate when we are painting and then afterwards I can just throw away the sheet.

Mama’s Santa and my 3 year old’s Santa!
