It’s also a great way for kids to explore their creativity while developing fine motor skills. Plus, watching their ghosts come to life is always a hit!
What You’ll Need
- White glue
- Googly eyes
- Plastic sheet protector
- Black marker (optional, for drawing ghost outlines)
Ghost Window Clings Step-by-Step Instructions
- Prepare your workspace:
Lay out the plastic sheet protector on a flat surface where your child can work. This will be the base for your ghost window clings. - Create ghost shapes:
Using white glue, let your child squeeze out the shape of a ghost directly onto the plastic sheet protector. Encourage them to make different ghost shapes—tall, short, wavy, or round! Start by creating the outline of the ghost and fill it in with the glue.

- Add googly eyes:
While the glue is still wet, place googly eyes onto each ghost design. You can use different sizes to give each ghost its own personality. Feel free to add more eyes for a fun twist!

- Let it dry:
Allow the glue to dry completely, which usually takes about 24-48 hours but it may take longer if more glue was used. Be sure to allow them to fully dry before peeling them off. Once dry they will peel over very easily. Once the ghosts are fully dry, they’ll be ready to peel off and use as window clings.

- Peel and stick:
Carefully peel the ghost shapes off the plastic sheet protector. Stick them onto your windows or mirrors, where they will cling without leaving any residue. You can reposition them as many times as you like! If you ghosts are sticking, simple wet the back of the them with a small amount of water and then press gently but firmly on the window and hold for a few seconds.

This fun and spooky Halloween craft is a perfect way to involve kids in decorating while letting their creativity run wild. Plus, they’ll love seeing their ghostly creations light up the windows!
