Basic Sensory Bin Rules

When it comes to letting your toddler or preschooler play in a sensory bin it’s better to find a balance between letting them play and being prepared for a little mess and setting firm rules. The good thing about this sensory bin is that it uses water so the mess is super easy to clean up!

To achieve that balance I like to tape down a large plastic table cloth underneath the sensory bin and play area. If I am doing a sensory bin with something like rice or beans.

With water you can simple lay a few towels down under the sensory and your clean up is super easy!

The other half has to do with making sure your little one understands the golden rule of sensory bin play: the fillers stay inside the sensory bin.

To set up this fun and easy sensory bin, fill your sensory bin with water and add your mini pumpkins. For tools, add large bowls and large spoons and a soup ladle.

Set your sensory bin on top of a towel and keep a few towels close by to clean up spills. And let your little one scoop and pour the water and mini pumpkins!
