Play is at the core of learning during the early years and it can take many forms. One of the most important of these is sensory play because it engages all of a child’s senses (taste, touch, smell, sight and hearing) and has a enoumous positive impact on brain development.

Our Sensory Play Kits are a fun and easy way to keep your child engaged while at the same time capitalizing on the benefits of sensory play to nurture their mind!

Pool Noodle Water Wall

Pool Noodle Water Wall

This is a super fun and easy way to keep little and even big kids occupied this summer. All you need are pool noodles and string. I created our water wall on a fence. When creating your water wall try and find a vertical surface that has slots where you can thread the twine or string through.

Use the twine to secure the pool noodles to the fence. Insert the fennels into the top of the pool noodles and place a few large bowls or buckets under the noodles to catch the water.

I filled a few buckets with water and handed my little ones some large measuring cups and other containers such as a jug and let them pour water down the funnel and watch it come out the other end!

How they Played

They loved it immediately! My 7 year old too. She was testing out how fast the water poured down each noodle and filled up the buckets and bowls below.

My 3 year olds used trial and error to figure out how much water to pour at once so that the funnel didn’t over flow. This was definitely a fun way to keep them entertained in the backyard this summer!

Age Suitability

My kids are 7 years old and 3 years old (twins). This activity is great for toddlers 2.5 years old and up, with assistance.
