This adorable craft is not only fun to make but it is also fun to include in pretend play and learning activities about octopuses. Pair it with a book for extra learning in a preschool unit at home or in the classroom

Books about Octopuses to Read before this craft

Grab 4 craft sticks and paint them all one color. Set them aside the dry. Once dry, glue them together in the shape of a snowflake (see photos for reference).

Take a sheet of tissue paper and scrunch it up into a ball. Glue it to the top of your craft sticks. Add two googley eyes to your octopus.

Next, glue down pony beads all along the craft sticks for the octopus suckers.

Age Suitability

This activity is good for kids 3 years and up. My kids are 3.5, 3.5, and 7 year old.
