Dot Sticker Spider Webs: Color Sort

Ever thought your little one could be a spider, weaving a colorful web? Well, not exactly, but with this delightful dot sticker spider web activity, they’ll get close! It’s all about matching colors, honing fine motor skills, and having a spook-tacular time. While I went for Halloween hues, feel free to pick any color palette!

Materials Needed

• Large sheet of paper
• Painter’s tape
• Markers in various colors (I picked Halloween shades, but you do you!)
• Dot stickers that match your marker colors

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Prep the Canvas: Lay out your large sheet of paper on a flat surface.

2. Draw Those Webs:
Using your markers, draw 3-4 large spider webs. Each web should be a different color. Remember, the magic here is in the matching, so ensure your webs correlate with the dot sticker colors you have.

3. Ready, Set, Match!
Present your child with the dot stickers and invite them to stick them on the corresponding colored web. You can tape it to a table or a wall. Challenge them a bit: Can they fill every strand or corner of the web with the right color?

I’m so excited to share my crafting TV show Curious Crafting which launched in July 2022 on TVOkids and TVOkids YouTube! Season 2 aired in August 2023! My show was also nominated in 2023 for Best Live Action Preschool Series by the Youth Media Alliance Awards of Excellence.
