SUPPLIES:

  • Corks (7),
  • Celery,
  • Plastic fork
  • TP rolls
  • Flowers TOOB (Optional)
  • Large piece of paper
  • Paint brush
  • Washable paints

SET UP:

Tape the paper down. We first used the plastic fork to make tulips. Simply dip the fork in paint and press down on the paper. Use a brush to make the stems.

Make celery roses by cutting the bottom off a whole celery stalk.

To make cork daffodils, use 7 corks and hold them together with an elastic band. Make sure all the corks are even on one side and then  paint them and use it as a stamp.

To make TP roll hibiscuses simply  flatten roll into a petal shape and paint the end and stamp to make a flower petals. (Toddlers will need assistance to make the flower pattern with the TP rolls).

In this activity we also used the Toobs flowers to talk about the names of the different flowers, their colour and petals.
