The anticipation of Halloween brings with it a whirlwind of costume planning, candy hoarding, and decoration designing. But here’s a quirky thought – what if we told you that the remnants of your toilet paper rolls hold the power to conjure up some of Halloween’s most iconic characters? That’s right! Those humble cardboard rolls are about to embark on a mystical transformation. From spook-tacular ghosts to vivacious vampires, get ready to dive into a world where crafting meets Halloween in the most eco-friendly way possible!

With a splash of color, a sprinkle of creativity, and the spirit of Halloween, let’s turn everyday items into delightful decorations. Not only is it an eco-friendly way to celebrate, but it’s also a fantastic way to engage tiny hands in festive preparations!

Pro Tips for a Crafty Halloween

  • Story Crafting: As you craft each character, weave a little story about them. Maybe the ghost is shy, or the witch lost her broom. This adds a layer of fun and imagination.
  • Decorate Further: Add glitter, ribbons, or any other craft supplies you have on hand to make each character unique.
  • Safety First: Always supervise the cutting and gluing process, ensuring little hands are safe.
  • Start Saving Early: Save those toilet paper rolls in advance so you have plenty to use for these crafts!

Set in the ultimate crafting space, Curious Crafting is a short form pre-school age series about the joy of making crafts. I lead a rotating cast of adorable little preschoolers (including my own) making magic out of common household objects.

In each episode we transform recycled items into magical crafts like a milk carton school bus, paper bag puppet or cotton pad turtle. The crafters learn and laugh their way through each activity while demonstrating what their young imaginations can create.

Curious Crafting shares the adventure and joy of making art with takeaway lessons for creating crafts at home.

This show designed for toddlers and preschoolers 2.5 years old and up.
