How to Make A Handprint Heart Card Craft
This is the perfect craft for Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day for kids of all ages! I makes a great keepsake craft for loved ones as well.
- Fold a piece of construction paper in half and lay your child’s hand on top with the thumb and first finger along the folded edge of the paper.
- Trace their hand including the arm.
- Invite older kids to cut it out. Cut it out for younger toddlers and babies. When cutting out the handprint be sure not to cut along the folded edge where the finger touch you want to keep that part in tact. Help preschoolers and kindergarteners at this point.
- Take another sheet of white consturiciotn paper or card stock and fold it in half. Glue the unfolded handprint heart so that the heart is in the middle.
- Add decorations around it such as small cut out hearts (make them using a small heart lever punch or cut them out or you can draw hearts)
- Write a nice message for Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day.

This activity is good for preschoolers aged children 3 years old and up. My kids are 5, 5 and 8 years old.
