How to Set Up Marble Painted Thanksgiving Turkey Craft

Grab all your supplies. Tape a sheet of white paper to the bottom of a shallow Tupperware container or a sensory bin. I used the small containers for my toddlers and a larger sensory bin for my 5 year old.

We practiced shaking the marbles back and forth before pouring paint into the containers. This is a good thing to do with little ones. My 20 month olds needed a bit of practice to get a hand of shaking the marbles back and forth without letting them fly out.

Once they got a hand on the technique I poured a few daps of red and yellow paint on the white paper and invited my little ones to shake their containers back and forth.

This was lots of fun for both my little toddlers and my 5 year old. One of my twins didn’t quite get the hang of shaking the marbles back and forth so if you have a little one struggling with this activity don’t fret give them a little more help.

Once the white paper was mostly with paint we let it dry. Once it was dry, we cut of leaf shapes for from the uniquely textured paper.

Cut out a turkey body and head from brown construction and a beak and snood from the orange and red construction paper Glue everything in the right places including googley eyes.

Then take your beautifully textured marble painted feathers and glue them to the back of the turkey!
