Pom Pom My Heart

I heart Pom Poms! And so do my kids! Anything to do with the little fuzz balls is always a hit. After the Pom Pom caterpillar heart counting activity, I decided not to put away the Pom Poms but to keep them out for this little activity. It was easy to set up. I created it in the evening after cleaning up and the kids were upstairs getting ready for bed with daddy. I had it all ready for them in morning! It was a real hit!

For this activity you will need various coloured Pom Poms. Used purple blue, orange and pink.

You can add any colour Pom Pom that you have. Just make sure you have the matching colour in your dot marker collection. You will also need some glue, dot markers and a sheet of butcher paper.

Cut off a sheet of butcher paper and draw a large heart. Take your dot markers and make dots all over the heart with each colour. Make sure that the number of dots you make with each colour matches the number of pom poms you have.

Place the Pom Poms in a bowl and place a bottle of glue close by. Tape the sheet to a table using painter’s tape and you are done!

How to Play Pom Pom Heart Match

Invite your little one to match the Pom Poms to the dot marker dot and then take the bottle of glue and glue the Pom Poms! So simple yet so fun.

Plus there is so much learning going on with this little activity. They are working are colour recognition, matching, fine motor skills! When they are done you will have a fuzzy heart to hang and display or proudly show to a loved one!

Age Suitability for Pom Pom Heart Match

This activity is great for toddlers and preschoolers 2 years and up. My kids are 3.5, 3.5, and 7.5 year old.
