INSIDE: Pom Pom Painted Pumpkin Craft is a creative and simple pumpkin craft for toddlers and preschool. Super easy to set up and a great way to keep them busy this Halloween!
It’s that time of the year when you see pumpkins everywhere! I for one love this season and wish that I could set up a pumpkin (or two) on my front porch October 1st! But I live across from a park with lots of trees and know that within a week my beautiful pumpkin would be half eaten by squirrels. So instead we craft!
Exciting Sensory Bins for Curious Kids
Make quiet time their favourite time!
Play is at the core of learning during the early years and it can take many forms. One of the most important of these is sensory play because it engages all of a child’s senses (taste, touch, smell, sight and hearing) and has a enoumous positive impact on brain development.
My Sensory Play Kits are a fun and easy way to keep your child engaged while at the same time capitalizing on the benefits of sensory play to nurture their mind!

How to Set Up Pom Pom Painted Pumpkin Craft
Grab a white paper plate, an orange pom pom and clothes pin. Attach clothes pin to the pom pom to make painting with it easier. Grab a bowl or another paper plate and add some washable orange paint to it.
Invite your child to dip the Pom Pom in the paint and then dab it all over the paper plate until it is covered in orange.
Cut out eyes, nose and mouth for your jack-o-lantern. Invite your child to stick them on the pumpkin while the paint is wet and you will not need glue. Set your jack-o-lantern aside to dry. If you are doing this activity with an older child invite them to cut out the shapes!
Once dry take a single hole punch and punch hole at the at of the jack-o-lantern. Invite your child to slide a green pipe cleaner through and then twist and curl it with a pencil or their finger.
This activity is good for kids 2 years and up. My kids are 3.5, 3.5, and 7 year old.
