Snowflake templates that are free printables for toddlers, preschoolers and older kids.

These snowflake templates make winter crafting super quick to prep, flexible, and work for every age—from toddlers who just want to dab paint everywhere to older kids who love adding tiny details. Free printable snowflake templates takes the pressure off cutting complicated shapes and lets kids jump straight into the fun part: creating.

How to Use the Snowflake Templates

1. Cotton Pad Snowflakes

Glue cotton pads or cotton balls along the lines of the template. This is a favorite for little hands and gives instant texture without any fuss.

2. Watercolor Snowflakes

Paint the template with watercolors and let the colors bleed into each other. Adding a sprinkle of salt while the paint is wet creates a frosty, crystal-like effect kids love watching.

3. Sticker Pattern Snowflakes

Use dot stickers or small circle stickers to fill in the snowflake shape. This is perfect for fine motor work and early pattern-making.

4. Snowflake Suncatchers

Trace the template onto contact paper, then fill it with tissue paper or sequins. Hang them in a window and watch the light do the rest.

5. Glue and Glitter Snowflakes

Outline the template with white glue, sprinkle on glitter, and let it dry overnight. It’s simple, sparkly, and always feels special.

Print a stack, set out a few materials, and let kids explore. Snowflake templates make winter crafting easy, creative, and refreshingly low-stress.

TV Show: Curious Crafting

I’m so excited to share my crafting TV show Curious Crafting which launched in July 2022 on TVOkids and TVOkids YouTube! Season 2 aired in August 2023! My show was also nominated in 2023 for Best Live Action Preschool Series by the Youth Media Alliance Awards of Excellence.

Curious Crafting Season 1 is also now airing in Australia on ABC! Watch it here!

Set in the ultimate crafting space, Curious Crafting is a short form pre-school age series about the joy of making crafts. I lead a rotating cast of adorable little preschoolers (including my own) making magic out of common household objects.

In each episode we transform recycled items into magical crafts like a milk carton school bus, paper bag puppet or cotton pad turtle. The crafters learn and laugh their way through each activity while demonstrating what their young imaginations can create.

Curious Crafting shares the adventure and joy of making art with takeaway lessons for creating crafts at home.

This show designed for toddlers and preschoolers 2.5 years old and up.
