Fridge Shape Match Activity

Here is an easy early math activity to help your toddler practice their shapes using magnetic tiles in this creative shape match activity on your fridge!

I set up this easy activity the night before and had it ready for my twins when they came down. It was a great way to start our morning and gave me a few quick minutes in the kitchen before breakfast!

Fridge Shape Match Activity Set Up

1. Place different magnetic tile shapes on the fridge and use a liquid chalk to trace different shapes on the fridge.

If you are using a liquid chalk marker, double check that it won’t stain your fridge by testing it in a corner out of the way. You should be able to remove the liquid chalk marker using paper towel and water and a little bit of soap.

2. Remove the magnetic tiles and set them aside for your toddler or preschooler.

3. Invite your toddler or preschooler to choose a magnetic tile shape and match it to the correct shape on the fridge.

This was a great activity to keep my toddler occupied while I prepared breakfast. Once they were done I removed the shapes and let them do it again!
