I am always on the hunt for easy garden projects for kids especially at this time of year. I love gardening and love having my kids come out with me.

This DIY bee watering station is such a fabulous idea. Not only do you get to create a lovely addition to your garden but you also get to help bees! Talk about a win-win!

Do Bees Drink Water?

Yes, bees do need to drink water. Just like all living creatures, bees require water to survive.

They drink water to stay hydrated, but they also collect it for their hive. Bees use water to help regulate the temperature inside the hive, especially on hot days, by spreading water droplets and fanning their wings to create a cooling effect.

Additionally, water is mixed with pollen to feed the larvae and is used in the process of making honey. Providing a clean water source can help support the health and productivity of bee colonies, making it easier for them to continue their crucial role in pollinating plants.

Where to put your Bee Watering Station?

Planting bee-friendly plants near you bee watering station is a great way to support our pollinators and create a vibrant, thriving garden. Here are some bee-friendly plants that are perfect for attracting and nourishing bees:

Set in the ultimate crafting space, Curious Crafting is a short form pre-school age series about the joy of making crafts. I lead a rotating cast of adorable little preschoolers (including my own) making magic out of common household objects.

In each episode we transform recycled items into magical crafts like a milk carton school bus, paper bag puppet or cotton pad turtle. The crafters learn and laugh their way through each activity while demonstrating what their young imaginations can create.

Curious Crafting shares the adventure and joy of making art with takeaway lessons for creating crafts at home.
