INSIDE: Let’s create a kinder world where all are respected with this Black Lives Matter Sensory Bag. Use this easy sensory bag activity as a way to talk to your young children about racism, fairness and being kind and respectful to all people.
Let’s Make A Kinder World
Let’s create a kinder world where all are respected. Ask your kids ways in which they believe people could be kinder. And then you can draw pictures or write the words down as ways to demonstrate how to be kinder and stop racism. You can make a big sign or for a mess free option, create this painting sensory bag.

Black Lives Matter Sensory Bag
Gather your supplies. Decide on what you want write on your bag to help make this world a kinder place. We decided to write black kids matter. You can write Black Lives Matter or whatever your child comes up with as a way to make this world kinder and more equitable for all children and people.
Write the words on the bag and let them decorate it. You can have them draw little pictures or decorate the letters like we did.
Once your words and pictures are complete, you can add a few colours into the bag to paint it mess-free. Remember when adding colours choose ones that are close to each in the rainbow so that you don’t create a gray inside the bag.
Invite your child to paint their pictures and words with the colours. As they do let them know that just like how they have the power to move the paint in the bag and decorate their picture they also have the power to create a kinder world one small action at a time.

Make quiet time their favourite time!
Play is at the core of learning during the early years and it can take many forms. One of the most important of these is sensory play because it engages all of a child’s senses (taste, touch, smell, sight and hearing) and has a enoumous positive impact on brain development.
My Sensory Play Kits are a fun and easy way to keep your child engaged while at the same time capitalizing on the benefits of sensory play to nurture their mind!
