How to Set Up Dot Sticker Ladybug Activity

To set up the dot sticker letter matching activity, grab a sheet of paper and draw a large circle using a red marker. Out of black construction paper, cut out a semi-circle for the ladybug head and two thin rectangles for the antenna. Glue the antenna to the head and add two googley eyes on the head. Let your child glue this the the top of the red circle.

For this activity I wanted to practice the letter L with guys, so I wrote out tons of different letters and included lots of upper and lower case ‘Ll’. On the bottom I created a key, and invited them to find the letter L and place a black dot sticker on them to give the ladybug its spots.

Total Hit

They both loved this activity! We practiced the letter sounds of the letter l and tried to come up with other words that started with the same sound. This dot sticker letter matching activity is a playful and effective way to make letter recognition engaging and enjoyable for young learners. Watch as their excitement grows with each matched letter, fostering their love for learning and setting the foundation for future literacy skills.

Set in the ultimate crafting space, Curious Crafting is a short form pre-school age series about the joy of making crafts. I lead a rotating cast of adorable little preschoolers (including my own) making magic out of common household objects.

In each episode we transform recycled items into magical crafts like a milk carton school bus, paper bag puppet or cotton pad turtle. The crafters learn and laugh their way through each activity while demonstrating what their young imaginations can create.

Curious Crafting shares the adventure and joy of making art with takeaway lessons for creating crafts at home.
