This Halloween Crayon Resist Surprise Art Activity is the Best
I just love crayon resist activities. Whenever we do them I always think, we should do these types of activities more often!! This one is not different. In fact I think its my favorite one yet.

How to Set Up Halloween Crayon Resist: Spooky Surprise Art
Grab your white paper and white crayon. Draw different Halloween items using the white crayon on the paper. This got a bit challenging as I drew. I had to remember where I had drawn on the paper so that I did draw over it.

Here is a list of the items that I drew:
- Haunted house
- pumpkin
- cat
- bat
- witch
- witch hat
- spider
- spider web
- monster

Tips for Success
When you are drawing the pictures make sure to press down hard on the paper. The harder you press the better it will show up when your little one paints over it with the watercolours.
Time to Find the Spooky Art
Hand your child a brush and watercolors. Invite them to uncover the spooky pictures by painting over them with the watercolours. Ask them if they can see anything on the page. You can? What can you see? Can you paint over it with the watercolours?

As the paint ask them what is happening? What can they see? What colour do you want to use to uncover this next item?

Tip for Success:
Have your toddler or preschooler paint all around the sheet of paper to make sure that they uncover all of the pictures.
Big Hit
Just like I predicted this was a super fun activity and a total hit with all my kids. The best part is that painting with watercolours is also pretty mess free and easy to clean up!
