Spray bottles are a fun way to keep kids busy in the spring and summer time. The squeezing of the spray bottle over and over again also are a amazing way to develop and strengthen the fine motor muscles in little hands.
This activity was created almost by accident but turned into almost an hour of amazing fun for all my kids! But that is what is so amazing about spray bottles. You start using them with your kids and they always lead into something else!
Grab your sidewalk chalk and draw a few flowers – tulips or daisies or whatever easy to draw flower. Fill the spray bottles up with water and hand them to your kids and you are ready to go!
How to Play
I called out a letter and the twins (26 months) ran over and sprayed that flower until it disappeared! For my 5 year old, I asked her to come up with a word the started with that letter in English and French (she goes to a bilingual school).
