Using a spray bottle to create art is not new! You can easily add coloured water to the spray bottle and spray it on white paper for a fun process art activities for toddlers and preschoolers.
If you want to skip the messy paint for once, then this is the idea for you! In this activity all you need is a spray bottle full of plain water and a dry fence, if doing this activity outdoors or a cardboard box, if doing this indoors.
You can change the nozzle setting on the spray bottle to the thin line stream to make it easier to create finer details in a picture, but you can easily create a picture using the wide spray stream as well.
My daughter (5.5 year old) started out making happy faces and people and then created a cat, bubble bee, tree m, fish, flowers and more!
My 2 year old twins also got into the fun and did their best to create all the same things their older sister did! I must have gone inside the house two times to refill the spray bottles as they created!
Spray bottles are a great fine motor activity for kids. Spray bottle painting with water using a spray bottle was an amazing way to get my toddlers’ little hands working!
