The Best Sensory Play Kits for Kids

Play is at the core of learning during the early years and it can take many forms. One of the most important of these is sensory play because it engages all of a child’s senses (taste, touch, smell, sight and hearing) and has a enoumous positive impact on brain development.

Our Sensory Play Kits are a fun and easy way to keep your child engaged while at the same time capitalizing on the benefits of sensory play to nurture their mind!

How to Set Up Shaving Cream Sensory Bin

Have you even tried playing with shaving cream with your preschooler? It is so much fun and not as messy as you would think. The set up for this sensory bin is crazy simple and that is one of the reasons I love it so much.

Simply grab your sensory bin or sensory table and fill it with shaving cream. Next, add some water to make it into a soup.

Add bowls and spoons for scooping and whisks for mixing. You can also add some pretend play kitchen items. Then watch them play! It was such as fun way to keep them busy while I sat and finished my coffee!

Clean Up

Clean up of shaving cream is super easy. If it is warm enough get out your hose and wash everyone down. Rinse out your sensory bin. I did not do this activity on grass. If you are doing this activity on grass, I would be careful how much shaving cream you let get on your grass.

Age Suitability

This activity is good for kids 3 years and up. My kids are 2, 2, and 5 year old.
