These cupcake liner chicks craft are so fun and super easy to make! Kids of all ages will love creating adorable little chicks using cupcake liners
When I was walking my 5, 5 and 8 year olds to school this morning the sun was shiny very bright in the sky and we all remarked at how little we have seen the sun this year. In fact, I recently read that this year has been the darkest in nearly 80 years. Over the past 3 months we have seen the sun only a handful of times when normally January and February are cold but very sunny. With all this sun, I felt the need to create sunny little chicks using a few of our yellow cupcake liners!

Cupcake Liner Chicks
These adorable little chicks are super easy to create! and there perfect craft for a sunny afternoon in the spring! Gather all your supplies and for younger toddlers and preschoolers, you can help them get through this craft by prepping a few of the elements for them.
For this project instead of using googley eyes I used cut white and black circles from construction paper. You can either do what I did or use googley eyes if you have some available.
To prep this craft project for little ones, fold a sheet of orange construction paper and cut out a few triangles along the fold. this will create an open beak for the chicks.
Also cut out some wings from yellow construction paper.
On a piece of white paper or card stock, flatten out yellow cupcake liners so that the yellow colour is facing up. You can create as many as your little one would like!
Glue them to the paper.
Take your cut triangle beaks and glue those to the middle of the cupcake liners.
Next, glue on the googley eyes or construction paper eyes.
Next, glue on two wings on either side of the cupcake liners.
For the final step, invite your little one to use an orange marker to draw two legs for the chicks!
And your are done! A great fine motor craft for kids! You can always invite your child to add their own little flair. Crafts can be so structured so invite them to used marker or fake grass to add their own details to make the craft their absolute very own!
This craft is good for toddlers aged children 18 months old and up. My kids are 5, 5 and 8 years old.
The mess level for this craft is low.

TV Show: Curious Crafting
Set in the ultimate crafting space, Curious Crafting is a short form pre-school age series about the joy of making crafts. I lead a rotating cast of adorable little preschoolers (including my own) making magic out of common household objects.
In each episode we transform recycled items into magical crafts like a milk carton school bus, paper bag puppet or cotton pad turtle. The crafters learn and laugh their way through each activity while demonstrating what their young imaginations can create.
Curious Crafting shares the adventure and joy of making art with takeaway lessons for creating crafts at home.
This show designed for toddlers and preschoolers 2.5 years old and up.
