INSIDE: A super easy to set up Halloween sticker match activity with a fine motor element! This is a fun and simple activity for toddlers and even preschoolers to do this Halloween.
This Halloween sticker match activity is a great fine motor activity. It is also great way for kids to develop early math skills such as differentiating between two objects and matching.
This is activity is also super easy to set up and what toddler or preschooler doesn’t love a stickers! At Halloween, I also seem to buy way more stickers than at any other time of the year. There’re just so many fun options from spiders to bats to pumpkins to ghosts to monsters and more!
How to Introduce Halloween Sticker Matching
Set up the activity and then sit down with your toddler or preschooler and go through all the stickers on the paper, ask them to name the objects. You can also talk about a few of their features, such as:
- “This cat is black and sparkly”
- “This bat can fly”
- This is a spider it has 8 legs”
Tell them that they are going to match the stickers on side with the stickers on the other side. Let them use their finger to trace a line from one sticker to it match so that they can grasp the concept of the activity.
Fine Motor Q-Tip Painting
Pour a small amount of white paint into a bowl and hand your child a q-tip and invite them to draw the line matching the stickers.
