Pom Pom Tape Spider Web: Gross Motor Activity

Tape Spider Web: Gross Motor Activity is a fun and easy indoor activity to toddlers and preschoolers. Its a great way to keep your busy toddler engaged at home! Colour sort Pom Poms on a giant spiderweb!!

Colour Matching with tape and Pom Poms

This tape activity is a great visual discrimination activity for toddlers and preschoolers. I used multi-colored masking tape to create our spider web (see a link to purchase yours in the supplies section below). If you don’t have multi-colored masking tape, not to worry, you can still set up this activity with regular masking or painters tape.

In order for your little one to know which colour to match to which part of the spider web you can either use colourful dot stickers at strategic places along the tape or write the name of each colour using a coloured marker.

Write the colour name or place dot stickers on different sections of the spider web and then invite your child to match the Pom Poms to that section.

How to Do Pom Pom Tape Spider Web

Create the spider web in a doorway using colourful or regular painters or masking tape.
Place Pom Poms into a bowl or do what I did or just place them on the floor!
Invite your child to match the Pom Poms to the correct the coloured tape!

This was a fun and easy to set up gross motor and indoor activity for the kids to try! We did this after school just before Halloween and they loved it. It was a fun and colorful surprise for them when they came home!
