Play is at the core of learning during the early years and it can take many forms. One of the most important of these is sensory play because it engages all of a child’s senses (taste, touch, smell, sight and hearing) and has a enoumous positive impact on brain development.

How to Set Up Apple Soup Sensory Bin
Making thick frothy bubble foam for sensory play is super easy! You’ll need 2 parts water and 1 part bubble bath. I find the non-organic brands work best.
Grab a mixing bowl and add 2 parts water, 1 part bubble bath and a drop or two of red food colouring. Use a hand mixer the easily and quickly whip up the bubbles. Spoon out the bubble foam into your sensory bin or sensory table. Be sure to not to include the water.
Repeat with yellow and green food colouring. Finally, add your apple toys, bowls and scoopers and spoons.
How to Play
This was a lot of fun for my all three of my kids and they immediately wanted spoons and gather the bubbles to make frothy soups.
Age Suitability
This activity is good for kids 2 years and up. My kids are 3.5, 3.5, and 7 year old.
