Broccoli Painted Fall Tree Craft is a fun and easy way to craft this Fall. Create a colourful tree using broccoli! Its a great way to get your little ones to try new foods and a fun way to use food that would otherwise get thrown own!

Using Food For Art

Using for food art ca Abe a controversial topic. Obviously this is a choice you will need to make for your family, but I wanted to share another perspective that a follower shared about using food in activities or in crafts:

“My son is autistic and has sensory processing disorder. He has severe issues with food.
One thing that’s helped him become comfortable with eating new foods has been crafts like this where he doesn’t have to eat it yet, he just gets to get comfortable with touching the food first. I SO appreciate these activities that involve food (especially when that food may be going bad in the fridge anyways!). For my family, these crafts are anything BUT wasteful, because it literally helps my child learn to eat. Just adding another perspective for you!”

TV Show: Curious Crafting

I’m so excited to finally share my new crafting TV show Curious Crafting which launched July 1 at on TVOkids and TVOkids YouTube!

Set in the ultimate crafting space, Curious Crafting is a short form pre-school age series about the joy of making crafts. I lead a rotating cast of adorable little preschoolers (including my own) making magic out of common household objects.

In each episode we transform recycled items into magical crafts like a milk carton school bus, paper bag puppet or cotton pad turtle. The crafters learn and laugh their way through each activity while demonstrating what their young imaginations can create.

Curious Crafting shares the adventure and joy of making art with takeaway lessons for creating crafts at home.

This show designed for toddlers and preschoolers 2.5 years old and up.
