Leaves Everywhere!
I live among lots of trees and I love it. This time of year is the absolute best for fall colours! There are so many ways to use leaves in crafts and activities. The other day I was outside raking up the leaves and though these would make great materials for Halloween crafts!
Sure enough, I created this bat craft and it started a roll that ended with a bunch of other Halloween leaf crafts! I am so excited to share them with you shortly!! But first let’s make a Bat using leaves!

Leaf Bat Craft
Go outside and grab some fall leaves. Bring them inside and paint them black with paint. Set them aside to dry. (Note: When I first did this craft with my kids I wasn’t going to paint the leaf bat wings. But after a second thought I decided that we should and I am glad that I did. They made the bat really pop! So that is why the pictures have the leaves unpainted and glued down first).
Take a piece of black construction paper ad cut out an oval shape for the body of the bat.
Cut out two small triangles for bat ears.
Out of the white construction paper, cut out two triangles for bat teeth.
Grab your purple construction paper and glue down the bat body in the center of the page. Glue down the ears, googley eyes and teeth. Once the leaf bat wings are dry, glue them on either side of the bat body.

Age Suitability
This activity is good for kids 2 years and up. My kids are 3.5, 3.5, and 7 year old.
