How to Set Up Fall Nature Hike Sensory Bin
Grab your sensory bin or sensory table and fill it with your bean mix. Add pine cones, sticks, Pom poms, leaves (real or artificial), acorns, wooden bowls and scoopers. The add all your bug and insect toys that are red, yellow, orange or brown in colour.
I also added orange and red snakes, birds and other animals that you can find hiding under or on top of leaves and sticks on a nature walk.
How to Play
Fall Nature Hike is a very open ended sensory activity so I didn’t have plan when setting this one up for my preschoolers. I let them get their hands in there and discover all the bugs and insects and animals.
This was an awesome little sensory activity that kept my kids busy and occupied while I made dinner! Which was a totally win in my book!
Age Suitability
This activity is good for kids 2.5 years and up. My kids are 3.5, 3.5, and 7 year old.
