What is Canada Day?
Canada Day is a special holiday that celebrates the birthday of Canada! It marks the day in 1867 when Canada became a country.
On July 1st every year, people all over Canada have fun and celebrate with their friends and family.
It’s like a big party for the whole country! There are parades, fireworks, and lots of red and white decorations, which are the colors of the Canadian flag. It’s a day to feel proud of being Canadian and to enjoy the beautiful country we live in.
How to Celebrate Canada Day
Celebrating Canada Day is all about having fun and showing your love for Canada! You can start by wearing red and white clothes, just like the colors of the Canadian flag.
You can make fun crafts like paper flags or beaver puppets or any of the other cool crafts below!
Going to a local parade is exciting, and watching fireworks at night is super cool. You can also play games, have a picnic, or even go on a scavenger hunt.
Don’t forget to sing “O Canada” and maybe even have some maple syrup treats. It’s a day to celebrate with your family and friends and enjoy all the things that make Canada awesome!
