Benefits of Dot Stickers
Using dot stickers in activities with kids offers numerous benefits. Firstly, dot stickers are excellent for enhancing fine motor skills as children peel them off and place them precisely on surfaces. This action strengthens their finger muscles and improves hand-eye coordination. Additionally, dot stickers come in various colors, shapes, and sizes, allowing children to practice color recognition, shape identification, and sorting skills, fostering their cognitive abilities in a fun and interactive way.
Learning with Dot Stickers
Dot stickers can be utilized in a variety of learning activities for kids. They are a fantastic tool for practicing counting and number recognition. Assigning a specific number of dots to each sticker and encouraging children to count and match them with corresponding numerals helps reinforce their understanding of numbers. Dot stickers can also be used for letter recognition and language development. Labeling objects or creating word walls with stickers bearing individual letters enables children to associate the written form of letters with their sounds and vocabulary. Furthermore, dot stickers can be employed for pattern and sequencing activities. Children can arrange stickers in various patterns, such as ABAB or AABB, or create their own unique sequences, nurturing their problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Where to Get Dot Stickers
Dot stickers can be easily found at various stores and online retailers. Local craft stores often carry a wide selection of dot stickers in different colors and sizes. Office supply stores and stationery shops may also have dot stickers in their inventory. For convenience and a broader range of options, online platforms like Amazon, Etsy, or educational supply websites offer extensive collections of dot stickers suitable for various activities and learning purposes. Whether you prefer shopping in-store or online, there are plenty of options available to help you stock up on dot stickers for your creative and educational endeavors with kids.

TV Show: Curious Crafting
I’m so excited to share my crafting TV show Curious Crafting which launched in July 2022 on TVOkids and TVOkids YouTube! Season 2 airs in the summer of 2023! We were also nominated in 2023 for Best Live Action Preschool Series by the Youth Media Alliance Awards of Excellence.
Set in the ultimate crafting space, Curious Crafting is a short form pre-school age series about the joy of making crafts. I lead a rotating cast of adorable little preschoolers (including my own) making magic out of common household objects.
In each episode we transform recycled items into magical crafts like a milk carton school bus, paper bag puppet or cotton pad turtle. The crafters learn and laugh their way through each activity while demonstrating what their young imaginations can create.
Curious Crafting shares the adventure and joy of making art with takeaway lessons for creating crafts at home.
This show designed for toddlers and preschoolers 2.5 years old and up.
